Chocolate Smoothie

Serves: 2-4
Ingredients
  • 4 cupswater
  • 1/3 – ½ cup raw cacao
  • 5-6 handfuls spinach
, c
  • 2-3 bananas
  • 2 dates or 1 tablespoon agave, coconut aminos, or honey
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seed (optional)
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in blender and process until smooth.
 For a non-caffeinated smoothie, substitute carob for the cacao. Carob has a sweeter taste so adjust recipe accordingly. Cacao is considered a super food, full of antioxidants, yet does contain caffeine.
  2. Use care when serving to children or consuming late at night.
