Owner of Beauty Blackbook, Educator in Hair and beauty, Stylist

Lisa Marie has worked in the beauty industry for the last 18 years. She has explored all areas of the industry including skin care, makeup, hair services and fashion. The last eight years she has focused on developing her craft as an Educator. Previously she has worked at The Aveda Institute Las Vegas as the Advanced Educator helping train students for the second phase of their education. She has also worked for Paul Mitchell the School Las Vegas and Tulsa as the Core Leader, Texture Specialist, Learning Leader Advisor to her last position as the Education Leader. Through her time spent with these companies she fell in love with teaching and the impact you can have on a student’s life. She has recently launched and opened a new business in her area called The Beauty Blackbook. Now she is looking to share her passion and experience.

Lisa Marie has authored three children’s books from ages 5-14. Titled; Creative Short Stories for Smart Kids, A Small Town’s Carnival & Who Said Acting Isn’t Therapy all published in 2008. In 2010 she created and independent audio book titled A Woman’s Signature. She has performed previously in The Vagina Monologues and been on the speaker panel for the African American Author Spotlight for the Clark County District Library. She is committed to making women feel beautiful both internally through self- esteem workshops and externally through a variety of services.
